Hotel Photography for The Stevenson Monterey – Monterey, CA
While we love photographing hotels for major brands such as IHG and Hilton, there is always something exciting about photographing independent and boutique hotels. The team at the Stevenson Monterey told us that they chose us because they like working with family owned businesses who take pride in what they do. Since that describes us to a “T”, we were excited about the opportunity.
This was one of the very rare trips where we flew since they needed to have photos done at a specific time rather than wait until we were going to be in the area. We love California and don’t mind traveling but it’s a long drive for just one hotel so we maximized our time by flying into San Jose and driving to Monterey.
The town of Monterey is so quaint and we were able to explore the area. The Seventeen Mile Drive in nearby Pebble Beach was on our bucket list so we made sure to allow plenty of time for a side trip. We found the area to be beautiful and the hotel was a great home base for our explorations. Even without side trips, the hotel is so centrally located that we were able to enjoy some fun time out.
The hotel is an older property that has recently been remodeled. They wanted to show off the work they had done upgrading the rooms and bathrooms. It is situated on a long narrow lot in a busy area so we had our work cut out for us to get the outside shots. Luckily, we had beautiful sunsets and great California weather so we got our shots!
