Professional Hotel Photography for Springhill Suites – Downtown Montgomery

Thanks to Ascent Hospitality for choosing once again for their professional hotel photography – this time for the incredible SpringHill Suites – Downtown Montgomery. This was such a unique property and we absolutely enjoyed the time that we spent photographing the hotel. After photographing more than 800 hotels, it’s always refreshing to shoot something that is different and unique. The newly renovated SpringHill Suites – Downtown Montgomery is definitely unique.
What Made This Hotel Photo Shoot Unique
The historic building is more than 100 years old and was converted to the Springhill Suites during a renovation that took more than 3 years. The renovation combined the beautiful architecture of the historic building while staying true to the standards and consistent guidelines that Marriott guests expect from Springhill Suites.
We were tasked with shooting each of the unique room types with the understanding that there were several versions of each of the unique room types. In a typical hotel photo shoot, every room is consistent and honestly we can shoot them with our eyes closed. This one was different because we wanted to show off the high ceilings, original brick walls and exposed beams while ensuring that we met all of the Marriott brand standards.
Mixing Business With Pleasure
We loved the location of the hotel and took time to explore the downtown Montgomery area. When we are home, we make most of our meals on our smoker so we have very high standards when it comes to barbecue. There is a Dreamland Barbecue restaurant behind the hotel and we ate their barbecue for more than one meal.
We were disappointed that we were not able to visit the Equal Justice Initiative’s Legacy Museum: From Enslavement to Mass Incarceration. The hotel is located directly across the street from the Museum however the day that I visited happened to be the one day that it was closed. I will definitely be returning at another time to visit the Museum and the The National Memorial for Peace and Justice
