Professional Hotel Photography for Huntsville Marriott at the Space & Rocket Center

Marriott Hotel Photography

Thanks to Ascent Hospitality for choosing once again for their professional hotel photography. The hotel is located right next to the Space & Rocket Center and has recently undergone a major renovation. This was a big shoot and it took the whole team to make sure we were able to get everything done in the time we were there.

What Made This Hotel Photo Shoot Unique

We got to shoot the hotel twice – once during and then after their renovation so we got to see the changes that they made. Normally we see the hotel after all of the work is done so it was nice this time to see the before, during and after of the renovation. We just finished a total renovation of our own house so I have an even better appreciation for all the work that is involved of renovating a hotel while maintaining the current operation.

The hotel has many different room types and meeting rooms as well as many dining areas and amenities so this job required lots of logistical maneuvering. Luckily, Ascent sent one of their employees to oversee the final shoot. She coordinated with the onsite staff so that everything was ready when we arrived and we all worked as a team to make the shoot go smoothly. They staged the meeting rooms to show the many different options that are available for prospective groups. This included setting up everything from a small wedding to a huge ballroom in theater style.

Mixing Business With Pleasure

We photographed the hotel during the midst of the COVID pandemic so we did not get a chance to go visit the Space and Rocket Center. We definitely hope they need another update soon so that we can include that on our next trip. The hotel is located adjacent to the Space and Rocket Center so we had the added benefit of space ships in our photos.

Professional Hotel Photography for TownePlace Suites – Saraland, AL

TownePlace Suites Hotel Photography

Once again Ascent Hospitality has given us the opportunity to introduce TownePlace Suites to our hotel photography portfolio. It is always challenging to provide hotel photography for a new brand that we had never photographed. It turned out that the TownePlace Suites was a great introduction to the requirements for this brand. Marriott is very strict on their photography requirements. Luckily, they do a great job of outlining the guidelines so that we were sure to meet them. The hotel did a fantastic job getting ready for us which certainly helped as well.

What Made This Hotel Photo Shoot Unique

The hotel was beautiful but we hit some weather issues which required us to wait for rain to pass. Once it did though, we had a perfect sky for our outside shots. This property is a shared location with the Fairfield Inn and Suites next door. While shooting the exterior twilight shots, we captured a perfect shot of the Fairfield Inn and Suites. That picture turned out so well that we used it as one of the three main photos on our Hotel Photography website!

Mixing Business With Pleasure

Our timing was perfect because the University of Georgia was playing in the SEC Championship in New Orleans. Since we are such huge Georgia Bulldogs fans, we drove to the game after we completed our photo shoot. It made for a long night since the stadium is two and a half hours away. We were happy that we got the chance to combine business with pleasure with such a fun trip.
