Senior Healthcare facilities were hit especially hard by the COVID pandemic so we weren’t able to photograph them for a long time. We were so happy when we finally were able to be back shooting healthcare. The team at PA Peterson made this such a great experience!

What Made this Photo Shoot Unique

We had a full team working to make this photo shoot go well. They had been waiting so long to be able to have us so they made sure to take advantage of our shoot. The best part of the shoot is that we had photographed one of their sister facilities the day before and our helper from that shoot knew exactly what to do when she arrived at PA Peterson!

Healthcare Virtual Tour for Southwell Medical

When we photograph small hospitals, we find ourselves saying WOW over and over. That was so true with the brand new Southwell Medical Center. Southwell Medical’s Adel campus is the newest member of the Southwell Healthcare system. The entire community came together to support the new hospital and we were thrilled that Southwell asked us to help showcase their hard work.

What Made this Photo Shoot Unique

Southwell Medical packs a lot into one campus. The 120,00 square-foot campus opened in 2019 and provides a large variety of medical services to meet the medical needs of their community. Southwell Medical is a state-of-the-art hospital, that includes acute care, laboratory services, sleep studies, medical imaging, endoscopy, an outpatient surgery center as well as physical, occupational and speech therapy services.

They are equipped to perform in patient and outpatient surgery as well as physical therapy, cardiac rehab and many different imaging technologies. Our goal in photographing the facilities was to show an overview of the facilities so that everyone can appreciate the facilities.

What we can’t capture as well is the exceptional care and service that the hospital gives their patients and visitors. For that you would have to visit in person but we hope that our virtual tour encourages the community to learn more about Southwell.

We started our virtual tour business 12 years ago with a. focus on healthcare virtual tours. My background in behavioral health and my love for senior living facilities makes us a unique team for this sort of photography. We were greeted with a team at the facility that was eager to make this photo shoot a great success.

What Made this Photo Shoot Unique

Early in the COVID pandemic, we got a call from Citadel Healthcare asking if we could do virtual tours of their facilities. At the time, we did not feel comfortable about photographing since COVID was particularly raging through nursing homes and other senior living programs. We were so excited when the vaccine was available and they were not allowing visitors for their residents safety. Once we were fully vaccinated, we were able to let them know we were excited to share their programs through virtual tour and photos.

We photographed McDonough District Hospital a few years ago so when they needed to show off their new women’s center, they knew who to call!

What Made this Photo Shoot Unique

There is a fine line between waiting for everything to be completed before photographing and shooting. before everything gets busy and cluttered. That’s the challenge we face frequently when we photograph new or newly renovated hotels or healthcare facilities. In this case, we all knew that once the doors were officially opened, we risked having to work around the uncertainties of babies being born. We actually feel that one of the biggest reasons to work with us is that we ARE cognizant of the fact that life and business doesn’t stop just because we show up with a camera!

For this shoot, we decided to capture the shots in the evening after the construction crews were gone but prior to the grand opening. This meant that we could stage the shots and hide the unfinished parts. We really feel that the pictures were able to show how lovely the new center is. Our hope is that our virtual tour and photos will help new families with their decision to bring their babies into the world at McDonough District Hospital Women’s Center.

Chiropractor Office Virtual Tours

We have photographed many chiropractor offices over the years but Dahlonega Chirorpractic Life Center is our favorite! Dr. Todd is our personal chiropractor and also a great friend so it has been fun to chronicle the evolution of his office over the years. We first shot this tour over ten years ago and have updated it to keep up with the advancements and improvements he has made in the office.

What Made this Photo Shoot Unique

We understand that some new clients do not understand that Chiropractors offer more than just adjustments. The virtual tour allows them to see all of the different modalities and therapies that are available prior to showing up for their appointment.

Mixing Business With Pleasure

We live 12 hours away from our favorite chiropractor so the chance to get adjustments and try out some of the new therapies is an added bonus to this shoot. There is no one we trust with our health any more than Dr. Todd so there is no business we are more proud to showcase than his!

Assisted Living and Senior Living Virtual Tours

Senior Living Virtual tours are a valuable asset to Admissions Directors and Discharge Planners who are working with prospective residents and their families. We started our business 12 years ago and one of the first virtual tours we created was for the behavioral health program where I worked as Assistant Director of Admissions. I learned that when people are making difficult decisions, it is helpful to simplify things where possible.

Of course in person tours are the best way to get to know a facility. Senior Living virtual tours are invaluable in these days of COVID and even before when multiple family members from different locations were working together to make decisions for aging parents. The virtual tours we create provide a glimpse into a “Day in the Life” at a facility.

What Made this Photo Shoot Unique

The biggest challenge in photographing residential treatment facilities of any type is working around the sensitive needs of the residents and staff. It takes a special consideration to recognize and respect those needs and to work with the onsite staff to minimize disruption as much as possible.

The brand new Southwell Health and Rehabilitation is beautiful and the dedicated staff is devoted to their residents. They worked with us enthusiastically to make sure that every area truly showed off the facility. This team had worked together at a much older facility so when they moved to the new hospital and assisted living, they were proud to help us showcase the new place.

Southwell’s marketing team does an incredible job using their virtual tour. When they go to conferences, they set up a large tv and have the virtual tour playing in the back of their booth. It just so happens that Southwell’s public relations coordinator is my beloved niece. She understands the value of the virtual tour and has worked with us on many different shoots for her facilities.

Mixing Business With Pleasure

Working with my niece was pleasure enough but my entire family lives in that area so we got to enjoy time with them. My sister runs the hospital gift shop so we also got to work with her on this shoot!
