We were thankful that S&S Management Company chose to have us photograph their Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Troy, OH. After the job we did for them at their Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Findlay, OH, they knew the quality of our work and how easy we are to work with. It is always the greatest compliment to be hired again.

What Made This Hotel Photo Shoot Unique

The general manager, Helga, did a great job communicating with us in advance so the she could have the hotel ready for Holiday Inn Express approved photography. We had a great preparation call prior to the shoot and when we arrived, they were ready for us.

The hotel has recently undergone a major renovation and it all came together beautifully. The property is lovely and the people were so welcoming. Despite all of their hard work, we did face a challenge as it was raining and we had to get creative with our outside shots. That’s one of the things that can “go wrong”

Mixing Business With Pleasure

This trip was a quick one with us shooting 5 different hotels in a week. Everything had to come together perfectly for it to work out as well as it did.

Thanks to everyone at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Troy and to Chris at S & S Management for choosing us once again! You were all so welcoming and made this a great hotel photo shoot. We definitely look forward to coming back to visit soon when we have more time to explore the area!

Holiday Inn Express Approved Hotel Photography

Scarlet and Gray Hospitality hired us to photograph four of their properties. We planned a trip to shoot all four properties in one week. That schedule required everyone to be ready when we arrived. The Holiday Inn Express and Suites – Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dayton-Centerville really took that to heart. They were so prepared and also so helpful in making this a great shoot.

What Made This Hotel Photo Shoot Unique

IHG is very specific about what they require for their Holiday Inn Express approved photography. In addition to IHG’s photography guidelines, Scarlet and Gray wanted to showcase their hotels on their own website. That consistency is what we specialize in. We held preparation calls ahead of the shoot date and the team at the hotel prepared diligently.

The hotel is tucked away in a busy shopping area. The property is limited in parking but the manager did a fantastic job blocking off spaces. We were shooting during COVID but the hotel was quite busy. In addition, we shot during winter so sunset coincided with check in. Luckily, the guests were wonderful. Most people are happy to cooperate when we tell them why we have the parking spaces blocked.

The stacked stone in the breakfast area is a beautiful accent to the normal Holiday Inn Express decor. The only problem is that now I want that stacked stone at my house too. Consistency is key with branded hotels like Holiday Inn Express. But the little accents can really elevate the look of the property.

Mixing Business With Pleasure

This trip was a quick one with the four hotels being booked so close. We enjoyed our shoot but were thankful that we got done in time to get some shopping done. The area has many stores so we snuck in some early Christmas shopping. Though, of course, COVID considerations limited our shopping spree.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel Photography

Our favorite jobs are when we get to photograph multiple properties for one management company. We were thrilled when Scarlet and Gray Hospitality hired us to photograph their properties. The benefits of having consistent photography for a management company truly show when they get all the photos of the different hotels onto their own website. We shot four of their properties over the course of a week. The Holiday Inn Express and Suites – Cincinnati North – Monroe was the last of the four properties for the week.

What Made This Hotel Photo Shoot Unique

IHG is very specific about what they require for their Holiday Inn Express approved photography. We work with many different brands but our favorite has always been Holiday Inn Express properties. We are Spire Elite IHG Rewards members and stay at IHG properties when we travel on our own so we know the brand better than any other. This experience was so helpful with this particular photo shoot 

The shoot was held in the earlier days of COVID so we had to create a breakfast service since they were not currently offering a typical breakfast. The property had recently finished a rebranding so this was the first time they set up their “typical” breakfast service. We had to get pretty creative but in the end we were all happy with the end result.

Mixing Business With Pleasure

At the end of a busy week where we shot 4 hotels in 4 days, our pleasure was crashing at the end of the day and getting packed to leave after we finished shooting. The hotel was lovely and since we spent the whole time in the room when we weren’t shooting, we appreciated the nice quiet room.

Referrals are our favorite form of a compliment so we were thrilled to get the call that the Holiday Inn Express and Suites – Atlanta North – Perimeter Mall Area had been referred to Vision Quest for new hotel photography after a recent renovation. The team at the hotel did an amazing job preparing for the photo shoot and it definitely showed in the photos.

What Made This Hotel Photo Shoot Unique

The hotel is located next to the iconic King and Queen buildings north of Atlanta so it was important to capture these photos in our exterior photos. The area is very busy – especially at rush hour – and the street in front of the hotel was so busy at twilight that we were challenged in getting the shots without cars driving by. The team had done an incredible job of blocking off the front of the hotel so we wanted to make sure we got those shots.

The hotel is tucked in a quiet corner of a busy area and we were proud that we were able to show the location while still highlighting the privacy and quiet of the actual property. What we could not show was just how close the hotel is to my favorite shopping areas in Atlanta!

Mixing Business With Pleasure

The hotel is located just a couple of miles from my old house and office in Atlanta. It was so strange to be in that area as a visitor! I love that location so much that I bought my very first house there. I had fun exploring my old neighborhood and seeing how much things have changed and also how much things have stayed the same.
